Surprise flash mob events at Gatwick and Manchester

Last week, the passengers flying from London Gatwick airport South terminal and Manchester International airport terminal 2, got a surprise as the Travel retailer World Duty Free (WDF) has organized an unprepared flash mob events, in order to commemorate the peak of the summer season.

This surprise event, which is organized by WDF, has performers who were disguised as travelers and sang and danced at several intervals, to the Cliff Richard’s 1963 hit “Summer Holiday.”

The performers, who were disguised as travelers, are professional singers and actors who started singing and dancing and encouraged airport staff and passengers to take part in it when the 1963 hit “Summer Holiday” began playing.

Sue Gosling, World Duty Free Head of Digital Marketing has said that, “in order to celebrate the peak summer holiday period, we truly wanted to create a special and memorable event, which has also involved and entertained our passengers.”

Gosling added that “better than the classic ‘Summer Holiday’ song, nothing captures that holiday feeling and the people who were indulging in a bit of pre-holiday shopping got something extra they didn’t bargain for, which will stay in their memories as the perfect start to their summer holiday.”

The best car hire services at the Gatwick airport are offered by Thrifty, Budget, Hertz, Dollar, Alamo, National, Enterprise and Europcar.
